Meet the humans behind the happy tails.

We're a small, passionate family who believe every dog deserves a second home filled with play, patience and cuddles.

Our Story

Born From Love,
Not Just Business

Our inspiration came from our own journey with our Golden Retriever puppy, who needed thoughtful supervision, emotional reassurance, and carefully managed socialisation, especially after experiencing health complications as a curious young pup.

Through that experience, we learned firsthand what modern dog parents are searching for: not just care, but comfort. Not just supervision, but understanding. Not just socialisation, but meaningful, well-matched interactions shaped around each dog's temperament and energy.

Karen, Dog Attendant and Trainer at Paw Paw Land

Karen

Dog Attendant and Trainer

I love working with dogs! I have worked with dogs for over 15 years in the dog training and dog daycare industries.

I love working at Pawpaw Land because we build such a wonderful relationship with each of the dogs, it makes coming to work a pleasure.

I have a Labrador named Sage and I am very lucky to be able to bring Sage to work with me here at Pawpaw Land.

Leah, Dog Attendant and Manager at Paw Paw Land

Leah

Dog Attendant and Manager

I have been working with dogs for just over 3 years in day care and kennel settings, but have been working in the animal industry for over 10 years!

I don't have any dogs at home so my favourite part of my job is getting to see all the beautiful dogs and treating them all like they're my own.

A fun fact about me is my animal experience started with crocodiles, snakes and stingrays at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin!

Dog Attendant

I have been in the animal industry for 14 years and have been working with a variety of different breeds of dogs from tiny companions to big personalities, young pups to seniors, reactive dogs and rescues.

A fun fact about me is that I worked in a rescue centre that housed over 500 stray dogs that were rescued from the tsunami, which was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

I have worked with dogs for over a year now. I have a staghound x lab named Daisy who loves coming to work with me. I have a certificate II in animal care and am currently completing my certificate IV in veterinary nursing. What I love most about working at Paw Paw Land is getting greeted by a pack of waggy tails everyday.
